  Conversation with an Elder- JW and Love

  excerpt from my conversation with an elder.

  elder: isn't it wonderful that we are the only one fulfilling this command of jesus christ recorded at john 13:35, by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.

  no any other organisation exhibit the christlike love that we display.. me: thats true, but we are not perfect.. elder: compare with the catholic clergy and many christendom clergies who bless soldiers going to war and these may even end up killing their members in the destination country.. me: even nowadays, in so many congregations, there are frictions amongst brothers and sisters and some may even keep malice for years.

  No he was not. Its ALWAYS the Catholic Church that they love to bash......

  Also, they only provide disaster relief for JWs...whats Christian about that? Nothing.

  Another WT lie from Ground Zero..

  i have been very busy lately but i had to stop for a few and write this.. it is beyond me why the wts has the need to not only lie but to keep making stuff up as they go along.

  the latest being an experience related to the jws at my local hall (a friend of mine who still goes told me).

  BOTR, your intial recollections of the events are truely shocking, horrific, and upsetting. It was bad enough seeing the footage over here in the UK, I cant even begin to imagine what it was like to live it.

  I remember at a Sunday meeting, an elder banging on that most of the people on the plane who knew the plane was going to crash, began to pray to God.........obviously, his point was that all people have some sort of faith inside of them, and it was the JWs MISSION to help everyone find the "truth"......he didnt mention the horrific realities surrounding this tragic event, just wanted to make them more zealous in their efforts to preach to the masses. They all gave "oohs and ahhs" as their zeal to spread the kingdom message increased, their faces lit up, and the room was awash with rapturous applause...........how they could turn this horrific deplorable event into a positive for them makes me truely ill.

  3 dear friends, although i was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, i felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to gods holy people.

  4 for certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you.

  they are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our god into a license for immorality and deny jesus christ our only sovereign and lord.. 5 though you already know all this, i want to remind you that the lord at one time delivered his people out of egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.

  For those of you who are disfellowshipped!

  how do you respond when you walk past a jw or bump into a close jw friend who broke of contact with you?.

  i remember when one brother was disfellowshipped, he himself honoured the arrangement and walked past the brothers with his eyes fixed to the floor.. im going to be disfellowshipped in 8 days, so i just thought id ask you all.. personaly, im going to be kind and cheery as i always tried to be with people.. timmy xxx.

  I reasoned with myself that the so called "friends" that I have made throughout my life in this org are about to abandon me

  Tim, this is the hard reality. It still hurts though. You have true friends right here, and when the going gets tough (you will be shunned on the street etc) keep posting here and let us help you. You will make new friends in life now you are free, who love and care for the real you, with no conditions attatched. Im one of them. Pucker up baby.....

  hi everyone, first i just want to say if it wasn't this forum, i'd be baptized!

  i haven't managed to successfully end my studies with a zealous jw.

  she uses everything against me to brainwash me into believing i need the org.

  Hiya! They pulled this one on me a few times. Im agoraphobic and suffer with very debilitating panic attacks..."Oh weve got an area where you can sit in the quiet and trained medical staff to assist you"...Bulls***!

  If you dont want to go, DONT! Be firm. I know its awkward, but the longer this plays out, the more you will end up suffering. I agree with Sliding Fast on this one. YOU are in charge of you, NOT them. Dont feel pressured into a gult trip. They need numbers...you are MORE than just a number arent you?

  Cantleave and Nugget are coming to visit me!

  i met the lovely mummatron 2 weeks ago and had a fab day x. tomorrow, cantleave and nugget are travelling down with their kids and stopping off to say hi for a few hours before continuing through wales!.

  im making a huge lasagne, and have got the beers and vino in.......so excited!.

  will be great putting faces to the name, and im glad that at long last, i seem to be able to step out of my little world and make friends.. have got my smurf hanging outside the door so they know my house............. feels like an early christmas present, happy days!

  Hubby wasnt happy, but you cant have everything! Hes a proud Englishman, but when it comes to rugby, Im a VERY loud and proud Welsh woman!
